We gained another family member on Friday… welcome Zac !!

High school sweethearts. 10 years in the making.  I’m so proud and happy for them. They had made the trip to Colorado so they could get married on 4/2, the answer to THE question.  (Hitchhiker reference)

We have had a pretty good week here. The weather has improved immensely.  Mom is active, eating, and talking a million miles.  We are not sure what she’s trying to say but we all play along, picking out one or two words to keep her conversation going.  It’s like talking to a two year old. And alzheimers proofing the house as she finds new things to discover.  Yesterday it was Shaun’s computer desk. 🤦

She started up the “I need to go home” again. I thought that phase had passed.

She’s also back to trying to actively walk out. We have instructed everyone who comes and goes to lock deadbolts behind them, but I still have nightmares of her wandering the street alone and lost.

This Deadbolt set lets people come and go, but keeps her safe too.
