Fall

Taking advantage of as many beautiful days as possible. Fall is my favorite time of year, but it always seems to go by so fast.

Nature’s showing off

Last week, We took a drive to Jackson to see the changing colors. Mom had to go into a store for the first time in many months for a potty break and was astonished at everyone wearing masks including hers. Karen actually approached a middle aged woman asking her “what was up with this nonsense!” Pointing at her mask. The lady looked at her puzzled and said, “we are saving lives, maybe even yours” 🤦‍♀️ I had flashbacks to being an embarrassed teenager in grocery stores with her making a scene. Unfortunately the whole Karen meme hits tooo close to home. 😖😂

Then yesterday we got home from a quick camp out at a close friends homestead. Shauns best friends parents own 10 acres outside of Blackfoot. Beautiful property. We parked the RV and explored their property. Had a huge bonfire and carved pumpkins. They use their space to provide a dog sanctuary and there were 8?! dogs total. Sunshine was in heaven. So many friends to play and wrestle with. Now that we are home she hasn’t moved much from her spot. I don’t know if she’s just exhausted or depressed we took her away from doggie heaven.

Mom did surprisingly well. She loves an adventure, as confusing as they come. Very clingy and shadowing me everywhere. Loved on all the dogs, especially the older broken ones. No bathroom accidents, ate and drank well, slept all night. But she was happy to get home.
