Farmers market
Took a ride to the Farmers Market. Had to get a $3 scone that feeds 6, haha, or two in our case. Then we walked around the newly planted gardens on the Greenbelt.

Mom has a hard time lately grasping meanings of words, and misinterpreting many things said lately.
We took a trip up to Rexburg to the Renaissance Fair, but it was windy and cold, we ended up rushing through. Mom did not bring a jacket, so we hid under umbrellas and in vendor tents to stay warm, and she enjoyed making small talk with the vendors. She’s surprisingly good at social small talk. Communication is difficult, and although she likes being part of conversations, it’s hard for her to follow anything other then something as simple such as weather.
(I only took one picture instead keeping my hands in pockets due to the cold….

That’s George shooting a bow and arrow (or bone-an-hour if your little David)
A few people remembered her birthday, Jen called and had an hour long talk, Dad and Julie (Clane’s daughter) called her to check in. Kylei and Phyllis sent a message to tell her happy birthday. I’m so grateful when family makes an effort to say hello, it seems like most family members are distancing themselves even on special occasions. It makes me sad, and disheartened to realize we are virtually on our own, even when I ask for help. I tend to take it personally, and have a hard time not getting irked about it. Maybe they are experiencing beginning signs of dementia as well and just don’t remember. Some days I swear I do.

Well said, Katie, and you are not alone in your feelings. We all have them. We have a situation in our family that drains me emotionally every time I talk with my sister. I don’t have the challenges you do, but family communications brings me down sometimes. On a lighter note, where is all this cold weather coming from? I am ready for summer. Did I tell you Ashli is coming out again? They are driving, and will be here the 9th of July. We are in high gear getting ready for them. Take care, and will look forward to your next post.
