🔥 💦 well, it was inevitable I suppose. I’ve just been waiting for the day mom tries to burn down our house or flood it. Turns out we had incidents of both in one week….

FIRST She propped a reading lamp on her wicker basket for a makeshift drying rack for the garments she insists on hand washing. Kristy walked in as it was smoking and got it outside before the smoke detectors went off.

THEN ever since last weeks “sink waterfall” we have had a slow leak from her pipes into our laundry room. We think that when the stopper got pulled out of the sink, it created a suction, and broke a pipe seal under the floorboards. So far it’s been slow enough we can let it run into our basement drain, but a plumbing call is happening tomorrow for sure, and mom gets to pay for it.

🤦‍♀️ Fire alarm batteries replaced and checked…
