Sometimes short term memory loss is funny, most of the time it’s not, but yesterday it was. In the morning mom said, “I would like to get a DVD player today.” I said of course. Honestly the one I bought her when she moved into Sagewood was a cheap POS. I had to take Grandma Mitchell to a procedure at the hospital first and told her that we could run to Walmart when I return. A few hours later I walked in and said, “Let’s go get you that DVD player” She turned to me looking astonished and said, “wow! I was just thinking about how I needed one of those, you must be reading my mind!” Then in the car she said “where are we going?” I said “We are heading to Walmart to get you a DVD player.” Again she looks surprised and says, “we must be on the same wavelength! I was just thinking about wanting a DVD player this morning!” I just smiled and nodded. This happened twice more when we get into Walmart and then after we bought it, and left Walmart pulling out the parking lot. Sometimes memory loss can be funny, most of the time it’s not.
