Yesterday was a day off, so mom and I ran a bunch of errands, bank, FredMeyers, post office, dollar store, Walmart, book store. She continues to remind me that she can drive just fine, and she doesn’t understand why her car was sold. I used to try to explain the reasons, but lately have given up and conceded to empathize with her feelings of losing certain freedoms. This TEDx talk just validated and helped me realize her truths. It must be scary and so confusing for her, my lack of patience at times, when she asks the same question a dozen times in a few hours, pales in comparison to what she has to deal with. I just need reminders and possibly a good support group.

We walked around the entire circumference of Freeman park today. It was a beautiful fall day, perfect weather. She’s doing better these last few days, less repetitive talk, and she knew what day it was.

We have an appointment with the spine doctor tomorrow. Her back pain is constant and I’m hoping not chronic. Hopefully they will have some suggestions or solutions.
