March

I feel the need to get at least one March blog in.

I’ve been blessed with the task of being the executor of my father’s estate. It’s been difficult to juggle the home sale, lawyers, realtors, paperwork, utility bills, and hoa fees that still need to be paid. Debtors are crawling out of the woodwork. I’m not holding my breath over any inheritance. Greg’s help has been invaluable. He spent a few weekends hauling and cleaning out dads house and had been my shoulder to cry on when I’ve felt overwhelmed.

We finally got an offer on the house yesterday. It’s 20 grand less than the asking price, but it’s a cash offer with no stipulations and fast closing. I’m really glad the house will be sold before summer hits. Because a house with no central air in St George…. well I’m glad it’s not mine.

We added a fourth doctor at work, so last week I hit 45 hours. We are so short staffed and I get to start training again next week. I come home exhausted and overstimulated daily. I warned the boys I’m going to run away if our house is not my safe space. The bickering some days… oi. I love teenagers. ❤️

I did have a ‘forced’ vacation this week, most doctors took off spring break, so I only had one doctor this week. We are spending every day doing fun things. Monday we took grandma to a matinee movie Champion with Woody Harrisson, then spent the evening the boys did leather crafts and I worked on suncatchers. Grandma had a closet full of beading everything, and generously donated it to homeschool. Dads old leather was dug out of the shed for the boys booth at the kids craft fair this summer.

Tuesday after some spring purging, we ‘discovered’ a donut shop, thrift store browsed, watched movies, and more crafts.

Wednesday after I worked the morning, we went bowling, found a new chicken place, and took a friend dinner after her surgery, helping mom with cat toenails. Finished off the evening with breakfast made by Jack.

Yesterday worked again, then David got home from work in salt lake, dropped off Shaun at the airport, and took the boys to Backlight Games for a few hours while I cleaned the airbnb. We went out to dinner at Manwaring cheese and Gelato.

Today the boys want to try a new place that has Smash rooms. I still want to try ax throwing. It’s snowing hard AGAIN today. I’m happy with just chilling at home tending to my seedlings and making more suncatchers.

Next week I’m back to the grind, the boys head to Portland to see Hannah and pick up the newest edition to our family…. Moon….
