We had a great Christmas, although compared to most family events, we don’t normally fall under the materialism, consumerist ideal. Teenagers tend to feel otherwise if they do not keep up with peers. But they had their wishes fulfilled. We keep strong to the WANT, NEED, WEAR, READ since they were babies. It keeps things manageable. And most extra things end up filling the need spots for the year.

This day after Christmas I’m finding myself verklempt about family, life, how we spend our precious time here on earth. It’s more likely the fact that I’m turning half a century old in less then a month, then holiday recollection. Family is so much more valuable then anything store-bought.
