My middle child is such a delight, enigma, intelligent, cautious, animal loving, and so good with every aspect of computers. He has built his own PC, educated himself about every purpose and specifics of hardware in a computer, constantly tweaking software programs to his own designs. Dabbling in streaming, (completely anonymous, including voice changers).

He loves homeschooling, enjoys hours of reading and learning independently. Every year we discuss the option of public school, and every year I breath a sigh of relief he declines. Traveling two days every week to apprentice dad with the business, where he gets to interact with so many people, from so many walks of life.

His economic understanding is so far beyond what I knew about at his age. He manages his own money. Paydays, and per-diem when traveling. We are now learning about investing, saving and Roth IRA accounts, dabbling in crypto currencies.

He’s an excellent cook, treating us with a dinner once a week, this week it was chili, and it was fantastic! We give the boys free reign in the kitchen and wow are they creative! Joe tends to enjoy hearty comfort foods, his specialty is Shepard pies, and stir fry raman and eggs.

Loves his mom dearly, he is my bodyguard and protector. Sometimes without him even knowing, once in the grocery store, a older gentleman was following me, trying to make conversation, to the point of making me uncomfortable. Joe was in the next aisle over, so I hunted him down and grabbed onto his arm. Watched the guy turn on his heel and hurry away. Joe was oblivious to my predicament, but now he is over 6 feet tall (at 14!) so intimidating to anyone who doesn’t get to know him. He has the most loving heart, and wears his emotions on his sleeve.

Independent and strong willed. Very much the strong silent type, but has a wide range of friends from multiple generations who he has no qualms about debating with for fun. He would make an excellent lawyer someday.

Fastidious in keeping his surroundings and desk neat and clean. So helpful while working with dad.

A big teddy bear hugger if your lucky to get a hug from him, I get them daily! Loyal to his family.
