We live next door to Grandma Jo. Shaun’s mom, who has lived in the same home for over 50 years, its the only childhood home my husband has ever known. We visit JoAnn multiple times a week. When mom first moved to Idaho Falls, JoAnn was moms first friend, and she would often walk next door to visit with her. Joann has an old cat named Sneaker. For some reason mom was not allergic to Sneaker. And mom loved Sneaker, and Sneaker loved mom. They had to have cuddle lap time every time mom visited.

Then a couple weeks ago mom had no strength to get out of bed. Sneaker lost function of his legs on the same day.

The night mom had trouble breathing and I stayed up all night administering meds to make her comfortable, Sneaker had a seizure and was gasping for air.

The next morning JoAnn took Sneaker to the vet, They decided Sneaker was needing help to pass away and gave him medication to make him comfortable, he did not want to fall asleep, so JoAnn leaned down and told Sneaker, that he had a job to help Karen cross over to the spirit world. He lay his head down and stopped breathing…. Within 15 minutes mom also passed on.

One day all the pets we’ve ever loved will all come running towards us and that day will be a good day.
