Figuring out this medicine tracking in home. Because I have more time due to FMLA leave and Jen being my night nurse. I created a medical tracker for mom that I can share with others on ETSY.

My organization skills are on overdrive, I think because I’m feeling out of control on so many other aspects of life. Still trying to figure out e-commerce. It’s definitely time consuming. I enjoy designing best, but computer savvy is beyond my grasp.

I have also found the best thing for getting her to sleep through nighttime. A WEIGHTED BLANKET! Why did I not think of this weeks ago! This is better then any sleeping pills or medication ever! I just got the 12 pound one. She has slept through the night every night since we have used it.

Mom is doing fair. Her weight loss is extreme. I know being with her daily blunts the shock others see when they don’t see her for a couple weeks.

Jen has been invaluable help. She’s in the room at night, helping her back to bed multiple times. She helped come up with a new-old way of getting mom to take her medicine. Spoon full of sugar!

Jen also got mom’s teeth brushed yesterday with some toothette swabs. I had pretty much given up because it was always such a struggle. Even with no toothpaste. But Jen just waited till mom was sleeping and gently used warm water a few drops of mouthwash and a lot of patience. 😬

Middle child is now 14! We were able to visit the zoo for the first time in years thanks to grandma Jo’s Christmas gift Family Fun Pass. And we got to take Joe to the new Raman house in town, thank you Jen for watching mom. ❀
