Family

We were lucky to have both David and Hannah come visit at separate times this last week.

While social distancing is advisable, we did dinners outside, and kept contact to a minimum.

We were so happy to have the kids over. It’s been since last year seeing everyone, way too long for this mommy. I’m already going through withdrawals.

Mom (Karen) is really struggling with confusion. Unless guided with every move she makes, she has no idea what to do. It’s like having a toddler again. Right down to helping chose appropriate clothes, leaving every light and faucet on, feeding and diaper changes. My patience is tested daily. Well intentioned advice from outsiders is aggravating to me and exasperating. You have no idea what this disease does to somebody till you live with it 24/7. Caretaking is stressful and while I try to keep life “normal” for my family, the weight of responsibility is overwhelming at times.
