Camping Spencer

Mom enjoys the outdoors

Just a quick one night trip up around Spencer area. This spot was fabulous! Wide open but surrounded by forest, and only a few other campers in the area. Although mom was ready for bed as soon as the sun set ( which was pretty early since we were in a canyon) we stayed up around the fire till 11. The Whites came up later in the day and parked their Jeep next to us. A little easy hike on some short 4-wheeling paths for mom was perfect. We also stayed behind when all the boys went to find a spot for shooting practice. This was the very first time Joe and Jack got to see REAL guns fire. They were a little impressed 😄

We packed it up 24 hours a a little later. Mom just gets to confused. She had a bathroom accident and I knew one more night was out of the question. But everyone else was ready to come home too. Besides the house chores don’t get done themselves.

Yes, we are still paranoid about the virus, yes, I wear a mask everyday. I’m sad it’s becoming political to keep other more vulnerable people protected. No it’s not media/politician trying to ruin the economy or whatever the “don’t tread on me” fractions are calling it these days. I see first and second hand how ICU units are filling up. Although the mortality rate is fairly low due to amazing medical advances, supplies are limited.

This means my oxygen level is 98% regardless of what I put I front of my mouth.

Jacks 11th Birthday
Fourth of July

Uncle Shan provided the fireworks show, and Jack got to be let in on that action.

We have also been working hard on getting the backyard turned into our own little homestead. The boys really work hard making it look nice.

And the chickens should be laying eggs in the next month or two. They are so so spoiled. They think they are princesses.
