Mothers Day
It was so nice to hear from Andrea and Joe. Mom doesn’t know what is happening and every time someone wishes her a Happy Mother’s Day, it’s a surprise for her. She understands it’s a holiday and to her that means dressing up and going out, so the outfit changes were impressive. Unfortunately we couldn’t take her to brunch like tradition dictates. So Joe made us meatballs and carrots at home.
She did take herself on a walk while I was working in the backyard. Andrea called, and I was expecting to wake her from a nap, instead was informed she had left 5 minutes ago. I panic, walk all the way around the block, FaceTiming Andrea the whole time, only to find her in the front room when we get home. Whew!
She doesn’t know what to make of the chickens. But apparently her mom had some when she was a kid? I was doing some chicken training, calling “here chick, chick, chick” while shaking dried mealworms and she said, “that’s how my mom did it!”
