preparation

I’m the only person leaving the house now for work. Thankfully I only see healthy people (For now). We have the RV stationed out front as a backup if I need to start dealing with sick peoples, so I can quarantine myself outside.

Really this situation is perfect for us introverted homebodies. Being Low maintenance and penny-pinching has trained us for this scenario. We won’t miss any beautician appointments, vacationing is a luxury we haven’t taken in years. Mom doesn’t realize anything is amiss. Thank goodness Kristy still comes.

A Medicare questionnaire came in the mail this week. Mom saw her name on it and I figured, what the heck, something to pass the time. She answered the sample questions about hearing aids 4 times, re-reading the questions out loud for a good 40 minutes before she gave up. It’s hard to watch her struggle. Knowing how much intelligence she used to have and lost. Just going to the bathroom alone is too much to handle now. Our washing machines as never been so active. I bought her a bidet, Hopefully that will make cleaning easier.

In other news, we started the garden back up, with renewed independence, hoping to become more homestead. And chicks are being picked up this week. I can’t wait for the boys to experience that!
