January

Kristy helped mom remember my birthday thanks to my husband. They brought home a bouquet of flowers and a card, and mom couldn’t help but sing happy birthday any time she noticed the banner in the kitchen. We went out to Olive Garden for dinner.

Mom seems to be withdrawing more and more. But she still refuses anything is wrong. Time is irrelevant.

I had dinner ready just a little later then usual (6:00 pm) and she came walking in the kitchen with a box of Raisin Bran. When I asked her if she would like a bowl of soup, she chucked the cereal box behind her and exclaimed “well I thought you’d never ask!” I get the feeling she thinks I never feed her, even if we sat down 2 hours ago. At least her appetite is good for now.

We’ve been using up our Christmas gift cards. The gravity factory was a hit. Also taking advantage of the mountain of snow in front of our house before the city comes to collect it. Although with 4-6 more inches predicted, it may be there for a while.

Ahh January 😑
