Hats and hikes
We decided to pop into a holiday craft show at the local events center to see if we could get some ideas for Christmas gifts. The only thing that caught moms eye was a beanie hat for herself. I prompt her to think about her kids, dad, or grandchildren but that seems so abstract to her at this time, I think we will attempt Christmas cards and gift cards again this year. But doesn’t she look cute and warm in her fleece lined hat? She hasn’t taken it off since.

We took a hike on Sunday at the base of Sawtooth Mountian range and left mom home to enjoy some peace and quiet, since the day before she complained of how noisy my house was. But of course she forgets and ends up at JoAnns house complaining that we left her and didn’t tell her where we were going. Even written notes left behind don’t seem to help anymore. I get major caregiver guilt when we want to spend a family day doing things I know would make her miserable like hiking in the cold. Damned if I do, damned if I don’t situation.

Mom got quality Sneaker time at JoAnns and played her piano for the first time in a long while, it’s nice to have the nest cameras to check in (and make sure the house is still in one piece)
