This month started out with a 40 degree drop in temperatures in a 24 hour period. I’m not ready for winter, and neither is mom. Her knees are hurting lately and she doesn’t want to do much of anything again.

I did convince her to go to the Darwin and Dinosaur exhibit at the Museum with the boys. I don’t think she enjoyed it as much as they did. But she followed along…

Then we had a 6 month dental checkup and cleaning. They found one superficial cavity that will be fixed in a couple weeks.

Dr Kidman is so good to her, he teases and goes along with her stories.

We hang out at JoAnns often, mom loves ReaLynn and teasingly plays nonverbal games all the time…

Yesterday I made brownies and gave mom one with a scoop of ice cream on the side before the boys came home. She finished hers up and I rinsed her bowl out. Then when jack and joe walked in I made them the same treat, when she looked at me and said, “don’t I get one?” So she got two. 🤷‍♀️ which was a good thing because today I came back from work to an ice cream puddle…..

I was just telling my brother Greg. Childproofing was one thing, but Alzheimer’s proofing is a whole new ballgame!
