Went to Oregon to see Andrea and Fam… wow! I really underestimated how long it would take to cross Idaho and Oregon in a vehicle that only does 65mph. Shaun was a great driver and kept us safe.

Andrea and Jared took mom in for 4 nights so she could have a comfortable bed and her own room while we took a detour up to Washington to see Hannah for a couple days. We stayed at the ritziest RV park Bay Point Landing in Coos Bay OR for 3 nights, the girls stayed with us overnight in the RV and swam and played in the game room and kids den at the RV park after the boys had a sleepover at their house the night before.

Those kids love their cousins, Ryen was ready to pack up and come home with us. We will have to figure that out at a later date.

We stopped at the Hoh Rainforest and Vampire central – Forks, WA. A few beautiful beaches and lots of fabulous scenery.

Washington was beautiful and so green. It was great for the boys (and us) to see how well adjusted Hannah and Dillon are in their new environment. Their home is adorable and Hannah has become a Botanist of houseplants like I have only dreamed I could be. She’s so knowledgeable, she has shown me new ways of caring for my own plants that I’d never fathomed before.

But as always it was so nice to come home. 10 days is way too long. Our whole schedule is thrown off.

Mom did great, but was more then happy to retreat to her own room and nap in peace. I think we wore her out.
