So this week has been interesting. Over the weekend mom was at JoAnns and complained of a “burning” sensation. I made an appointment first thing Monday morning but since I couldn’t be there and Kristy was taking her I called the nurse line and left message with my concerns, which was to “rule out a UTI, yeast infection and check for hemorrhoids”. They unfortunately did not relay my concerns to the P.A. who saw her, and instead went with mom’s concerns, which were post nasal drip and back pains. 😦

Lucky Kristy got some of the message and asked them to do a quick check “downtown”. They gave her a cream for hemorrhoids and took a urine sample but did not take swabs to check anything else. So I head to the pharmacy after work thinking I was getting at least a cream, and NOPE. No Rx, and the ObGyn had closed at 5. The next day I called to get a nurse report and the P.A. DIDN’T FINISH HER NOTE, OR SEND THE RX, so the nurse couldn’t tell me anything. }:( I don’t think we will be seeing THAT P.A. again.

After finally a bit of a run around on the phone while on my lunch break (WHILE I was trying to finish a timed test for re-certification of my conscious sedation) I finally got the nurse who explained the visit. Not much help, but they will prescribe a diflucan IF the symptoms don’t go away with the cream, and throw in a nasal spray and a back X-Ray for good luck.

And another Dental cleaning was done at Creekside Dental on Wednesday. We signed up for their Gold plan which will last another year.
