I needed to see this quote today. Andrea did a really nice thing and sent Mom a nice Valentines postcard, and I took it too personal. Mom loved it, but I said things to Andrea that I shouldn’t have (I called her insensitive) and IM SO SORRY.

Mom needs communication even if she doesn’t know how to respond, she still feels the usual human feelings. Please don’t stop reaching out, even if it’s awkward and “It doesn’t matter cause she will just forget” UMHUM, (I’m talking to you Greg… …..he won’t read this anyway). A letter, FaceTime or invitation anywhere.

Andrea and I straightened things out, but I need to be better at holding my tongue and thinking through my own issues before speaking or texting. Somedays are just too real.

But she’s so excited when she knows someone cares.
