Dad came up on Friday and Saturday to visit and hang out. Mom asked him if they were still married. And dropped more then a few hints for him to take her with him on his next trip.

The best way to see moms memory defects is to play a game with her. Go Fish or UNO work well, so I think dad got the concept of what we deal with daily.

Kristy is heaven sent, she gets mom moving, cleaned, fed and exercising. More importantly is the company. We try to get her to come out and engage with the family, but she retreats back to her room pretty quickly. Food helps lure her out, but as soon as she’s done cleaning up dishes she’s back to hiding. Not being able to communicate and carrying on conversation flusters her. But talking about the past is her favorite pastime, and dad can help a lot with that.
