Mom has had a busy week. Kristy is fantastic, whipped the place back into shape. Cleaning the room, changed and washing bedding, making sure mom is showered, eating and taking meds on schedule. And mostly keeping her company, and taking her out. On Thursday mom complained of toothache again so Kristy took her to see Dr Kidman at Creekside. It’s the same upper right back tooth that he’s seen her for twice before. The tooth has deep pockets around the crown where food gets stuck and irritates her gums, the bone loss makes it impossible to improve, so if it keeps bothering her we may have to have it pulled out.

By Thursday afternoon mom was tired from all the activities and took a 3 hour nap. So Friday was a take it easy day, shower and they watched a movie. Kristy noted moms water tower smelled musty, so I drained it and took out the 5 gallon jug to clean, and ran bleach through the pipes. Mom must have felt something was missing, so she found my food dehydrator in the basement, to put it where the water jug should be…..

Obviously it didn’t look right, so she blamed Kristy when I got home at 3:00. Then when her favorite cup for tea came up missing, Kristy got blamed again. I fear the honeymoon period is over. Thank goodness for security cameras.

My birthday was this week, Shaun, Joann, mom and I went to García’s restaurant for lunch. My family made sure I felt loved. Great minimalist gifts. I’ve been wanting a French press for a while, and gift cards are always welcome. Mom JoAnn got me aromatherapy stress relief. Stress?! What stress? 🥴 she knows me well. Thank you all for making my day special. I’m so lucky
