We have spent the last few weekends being weekend warriors at Grandma Taylor’s home getting it ready for sale. This is the boys great grandmothers (JoAnns moms home) Doris Taylor has been gone for 10 years now. She was an amazing woman, and I wish I had known her longer. So many good memories at this home of way late into the night and sometimes next morning, talking and card games, where we would laugh so hard we cried.
The renter moved out, and it’s getting too much for JoAnn to take care of, and she needs the money for the sale of the home for the rest of her retirement years.
With our limited skills in refinishing floors, sanding patching and painting, we have taken on the challenge…

Mom has been over on a few occasions, but she wanders about pretty confused. Yesterday I took her with me and gave her a Clorox wipe, to wipe up dust and fingerprints on the door frame, while I went back to scraping caulk on the windows. I hear the toilet flush multiple times in a row and walk over to the bathroom to find mom elbow deep in the toilet bowl with the Clorox wipe.
I said, “don’t worry about that mom, we have a cleaning lady taking care of that in a while.” But she continued to put her hands inside the pretty gross toilet bowl, even after redirecting her three times. We ended up just leaving. π€¦ββοΈ
