Halloween 🎃

Her neurologist suggested started a new medication last week to help with controlling her skin picking tendencies. I’m wondering if this may be changing her mood. There was a few incidents yesterday that were out of the ordinary for her. We had gone grocery shopping and she started across the parking lot before I had gotten out of the car which was unusual, but not too crazy. Then we went to watch the boys Halloween parade at their school. And after took a trip to Sams club for some candy to pass out to the kids. While we were there we grabbed pizza at the food court, and I did my usual prompts of pointing out the drink station to her. She snapped at me saying ” I know! I’ve done this before!” even though she was clearly confused as usual.

Then when we got home I asked if she would like some pumpkin seeds, that I had roasted that morning. She had taken a few and started shelling them in her mouth like sunflower seeds, spitting into the garbage. So I said, “you can eat the whole seed, like this”, and put a few in my mouth to show her. She turned and got right in my face, with her teeth bared and one of the angriest looks I had ever seen on her face. I honestly did not know how to react and ended up laughing and asking if she was practicing her scary Halloween face, and she stomped off to her room, like a disgruntled teenager. Then she took dinner into her room instead of eating with the family.

I’ll observe her the rest of this week. If it continues, I’ll talk to the doctor Monday
