6 days traveling through Yellowstone park, Tetons, Jackson hole and Alpine. Mom had the time of her life. We stayed in a motor home to lessen the day to day changes on mom. She did so well, but there were a few times I could tell she needed her space from the kids. She roamed the RV Parks more then once, but since she kept her Gizmo on all times, so I was less worried. She only got a little backwards once, but I kept my eye on the direction she traveled and “ran into her” pretending I was on a walk too.

She is so proud and in complete denial there is anything wrong, but one round of go-fish, and the cognitive loss is pretty apparent.

It’s so interesting how the brain works. She is very cognizant in emotional issues. And I know that she knows there is something very wrong, but she chalks it up to “just getting old” every time. Even simple things like not being able to use a door handle.
