We have been taking advantage of the beautiful weather this week. Lots of walks, a trip to Jamba Juice, and sitting by the Falls.

We went to the farmers market and ate Italian ice, mini doughnuts and watched the boys sword fight.

It’s officially summer break now.

On Tuesday we went to JoAnn’s for dinner and my mom must have forgot she’s allergic to cats, after petting sneaker (the cat) I told her she might want to wash her hands before we ate, but instead she picked up a lint roller, rolled the palms of her hands and said “No, I’m okay” 🤦‍♀️

We’ll about an hour later she walked into the kitchen and said “I don’t know what is wrong with my eyes, but water doesn’t seem to help” I wish I would have taken a picture, because her eyes were bright red and watering like crazy! I gave her 50 mg of Benadryl and told her to wash her hands and face with soap and water, really well, and let’s not pet cats again. The next day was the boys award assembly at 9am. I knocked on her door to see if she wanted to come. But that Benadryl did a number on her, her eyes and allergies were 100% improved, she is usually up and dressed around 7-8, but that morning at 8:45 she looked like she just rose from hibernation. So I let her continue to sleep and went without her.

After that I came home and got her to go for a haircut and grocery shopping. Then she came home and was napping for a couple hours again. (Note to self, 25 mg Benadryl is enough for mom).
