Church

This morning mom was ready for church by 8:30 AM, but our Church doesn’t start till 11 o’clock so I jokingly asked her if she was going to the 9 AM singles Ward. I guess it wasn’t quite a joke to her because she ended up walking there. Unfortunately she didn’t tell anybody, and I was showering and getting ready, at 10:45 I knocked on her door, And much to my chagrin she did not answer. So I put two & two together and walked to the ward house where she was sitting in our usual spot. She said that she been there since 9 AM. We didn’t make it through the entire sacrament meeting before she got tired of the sermon. She leaned over to me and said “how would one make a graceful exit?” So I pointed to the door and followed her out.

It was a beautiful day, sunshine and perfect temperatures. We hung out in the backyard, baked cookies, watching the kids jump on the trampoline and met the new Nieghbors who were moving in next door, Heather and Michael. They invited mom to come over and see the demolition and remodel. She gladly accepted and invited them to see her room too.

We were going to bbq but a storm rolled in just as we were heating up the grill. We had already invited our friends Dane and Angie over, so we ordered pizzas instead and sat in the living room talking for a few hours. Mom told them of the day she was in New York City when the World Trade Tower was hit by terrorists. 🤷‍♀️ 🤦‍♀️
