Joe got his braces off today, mom and I sat chair side and got to see his shiny polished teeth for the first time in over a year.

We went to great harvest for lunch before dropping him back off to school, then mom and I ran errands and did our grocery shopping. Home to put away groceries and have a quick nap, then to Walmart to spend our Mother’s Day gift cards from dad. Mom got 6 new movies.

Yesterday a nice lady from church picked up mom to take her for a walk at Community Park for over an hour.

Money…… apparently mom had a stash of silver certificates $5 and $1 bills, I knew Clane was a coin collector. We found some money during her moves and put it in a “safe spot”, when she moved up here, I asked if she wanted to get a safe at our bank, Or use mine, but she refused, and insisted she keep them.

Well…..last week she pulled two of these bills out of her wallet and handed them to me, to pay for her dinner at a restaurant. Very surprised but not wanting to make a big deal of it, I said “where did these come from?” She said they were just there in her wallet the whole time. So later I got her wallet and there were half dozen more. I traded them out for regular $5 bills, and now they are in a safe. But because she only deals with cash, I wonder how many she had given to Winco or Target before I caught it. 🙁
