Today we had a follow up visit at Dr Wards office for mom’s shoulder, back and chest rash. She saw Josh the PA. She just finished a round of antibiotics (cephlexin) and a prednisone taper this weekend. Also some antibiotic ointment for the sores. While there seems to be improvement, there are still areas where it is obvious that she is picking at her skin. A dermatologist appointment was scheduled for next Wednesday.

She’s also been complaining a lot of runny nose and a sore throat which has been ongoing for many years, according to her past medical records. So a shot of Kenalog 40 mg was also given today for possible allergies, causing her postnasal drip.

We also have a neurologist visit coming up the first week of March for help with Alzheimer’s.

A home health nurse still comes weekly to check her pressure sore on her bottom that’s she’s had for who knows how long, before she moved in here. But it’s improving.
