Errands

Last night mom had her final interview with the stake president for her temple recommend, she came out saying “I PASSED!”. We then took a ride to the polling place at the boys elementary school and tried to get this town to spend money on education (We lost) 😦

This weekend errands consisted of trying to find George Church clothing and shoes. Dang boy grows faster then a weed. Payless had some cute winter shoes and mom bought 2 pair, one MukLuk fuzzy slippers to keep her toes warm and another pair of flats. Joe’s hunt for shoes was a big bust, turns out he hates shoe shopping as much as I do. Then we made a trip to Ross where we found the arts and crafts isle. They had 4 packs of canvas for $6 and full sets of acrylic and oil paints for less then $10. Mom had pulled out her easel a few weeks ago after showing me a pencil sketch she had done, I found drawing paper and a sketch set of pencils, but she said she had wanted to start painting again.

We stopped at Rumbi Grill for lunch and had some rice bowls, then across the street to Target where we finally found Joe an outfit, still no shoes. Jack had put on a felt hat he found in a clearance bin, which looked particularly fetching on him so mom found $6 bills in her purse and slipped it into jacks hand, much to his delight.

Today we have Orthodontic appointments, picking up meds at the pharmacy and vet, a trip to the grocery store, and hopefully a walk around the park if it’s not too cold for her. I think she believes she lives in Alaska from the way she talks about the cold. If I hear “baby its cold outside” (singsong always) or “it’s a tid bit nipply out here… teeheehee” all winter I may just spontaneously combust.
