I thought it would be a grand idea to do some volunteer work with mom to get her out and socialize, we signed up to serve at the humanitarian center just a few blocks away. They were doing a quilting project for Hurricane survivors and shelters in Houston and Florida. Well it SOUNDED good anyway, but the first instructions when we got there were how to tie universal knots instead of granny knots, and unfortunately those instructions were a little too difficult for mom to follow. She got very frustrated and accused me of treating her like a child when I told her to follow me. We ended up leaving early. 😣

But positive note, I found the Greenwood family history book from a few years ago which makes her very happy. She can spend many days rereading the same stories and every time it’s a new experience all over again.
