This is a blog to document my moms progress or decline and share updates with family. My grandmother and now mother have Alzheimer’s disease. Technically my moms diagnosed with dementia, short term memory loss. She tells the same stories over and over, unable to follow or understand simple instructions, cannot remember who has come to visit, mixes her children up with her siblings, and cannot remember most grandchildren’s names. But at the same time she is fiercely independent and denying her limitations. I am looking forward to this next chapter of my life with her and of course I am also interested in my own future, so we will be doing a few experiments of our own, mostly with health and diet, these are our adventures……
